Mimosa Pudica - "Sleeping grass" or "Sensitive plant." Used for insomnia and central nervous system disorders (as a tea). It's considered an invasive species as it prevents others from taking ground. When you touch it the leaves fold and close. I've seen it very tall, when I was with Hal & Karen on the river, but here it was just low to the ground as they mow regularly where we stopped. |
