Thursday: I finally went to the Queen's Bath. It was the best! The walk down the path was pretty difficult and the walk UP the path took much longer LOL. I saw the greatest things and met many people. It is truly beautiful on the north side of the island and this place really showed how beautiful and rough it can be all in one package.

Friday: Arrrghhhh, the muscles in my legs are killing me today but it was well worth it. I climbed all over that area and can't wait to go back and look at more.
I talked to Sam and Scott today. Sam is moving to Houston. She is very excited but a little sad about leaving Scott in Corpus. Scott got a promotion yesterday! He is totally stoked (as Hal says). I can tell he really likes being a surveyor; it comes across in everything he says. I'm excited for him. I miss them a lot but know they are enjoying not having Mom around to peck on them. Hmmm, Fran has a little wooden chicken that says something like "Having Kids is Like being Pecked to Death". Maybe the kids feel it's the other way around. The cats are doing ok but Scott is struggling with hair and cat boxes so we talked about installing a section that goes in a sliding door so he can keep the cat boxes on the porch (3rd floor). I hope that will help. The hair is annoying and we talked about that some. Keep hanging in Scott we'll make you a cat lover soon and I know Bunny & Baby love you; they are proving it by using the cat box and leaving you hair presents J.
Last Week: I saw my first flounder while I was snorkeling at the Salt Pond. No wonder I've never seen one before... those flat buggers can really blend in with the sand. I also saw some great coral. The colors are amazing. I saw the largest Trunk Fish I've ever seen. I see them all the time but this one was huge. I won't tell you how big as I know it will just sound like a "fish story".
I applied at the Kauai Community College yesterday to teach continuing education. I really enjoyed talking with the girls in the office. I hope they call me soon as I'm really excited about teaching again. It's only been a little while but I missed it more than I thought I would. I like working at home but it will be nice to have something to keep me on my toes, I know the students will do that for me.

Hal, be sure to check out the Dawn Patrol sketch.
Saturday: Such an unbelievable feeling to wake up with the bird sounds here. The bird calls are amazing and the smell of the plumeria all around my cottage is unbelievable. I love it here. This morning I left very early and went snorkeling hoping the swim would help the muscles in my legs. They still ache a bit after traipsing around Queen's Bath. It did help some, especially with the warmth of the sun after my swim. Tonight I'm going to Isabelle and Buddy's house for sunset drinks on the beach. This is to celebrate Todd's passing his last Realtor exam today. I think he's very excited and looking forward to "making the big bucks".
